Explaining the differences between our canvas board and canvas gallery wrap prints

What is a Fine-Art Canvas Board Print?

Premium Fine-Art Canvas Board Prints are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material using high-quality archival inks. You can choose one of the finish types:

  • Premium Fine Art Glossy – provides a glossy finish for true-to-life colors
  • Premium Fine Art Lustre – provides a near-matte surface with a subtle sheen
  • Premium Fine Art Metallic – gives the image a radiant glow (this looks fantastic on Vintage Peony by the way)

The print is then mounted on gatorfoam board, which is a very rigid and lightweight backing.  It is durable and will not warp.  These prints can be matted and framed just like you would frame a paper print.

Canvas is a perfect material for the more painterly pieces I offer as it naturally complements the brushstrokes in the image.

Note that the maximum size for these prints is 40x60 inches.

What is a Fine-Art Canvas Gallery Wrap?

The canvas gallery wraps are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material with the same three finish options as above. Here the difference is that the print is wrapped around an artist's stretcher frame. It's finished with your choice of either wire hanging hardware or a float-style frame. The point here is that your canvas wraps can be hung unframed. If unframed, you can choose how far out from the wall the print projects or the depth. Your choices are ¾", 1-1/2", or 2-1/2".

Note that the maximum size for these prints is 42x92 inches.  The photo at right is a canvas wrap with a float frame.
