ICYMI, one of my favorite flowers is the lotus. These blossoms loom large during the day, but as evening approaches they close down for the night. This lovely pale yellow lotus has begun the process, hence the name Closing Time. I had the opportunity to watch this flower go from bud to blossom over several days and this was its first night after a full bloom. This image was recognized in the 9th Annual Leaves & Petals Art Exhibition in September, 2023
